Practical help for everyday desktop work

Students, freelancers, creators, and everyday users can start with small work that is easy to check: a message, a receipt, a screenshot, a folder, or a repeatable desktop task.

Rewrite an email or message

Paste a rough reply, a note, or a message you have been avoiding. Ask Think-Act to make it clearer, friendlier, shorter, or more direct, then review the final wording before you send it.

Summarize a PDF or screenshot

Turn a long letter, form, tutorial, PDF, or screenshot into a plain summary with dates, follow-ups, and open questions called out.

Extract text from a receipt or document

Use OCR for receipts, scanned letters, forms, and photos of text. Copy the result, summarize it, or turn it into structured notes.

Organize a small folder

Start with a few files and clear rules: rename, sort, or group them after you review the plan. Keep file-changing actions behind confirmation. See how controlled automation works.

Workflow pipeline

Add what you have,
review what Think-Act gives back

Bring in a screenshot, document, note, or small folder, ask for the outcome you need, then check the result before it moves anywhere else. For multi-step work, the desktop agent workspace keeps the task, tools, and review visible.

Step 01

Start with what is in front of you

Paste a rough message, capture a screenshot, add a PDF, or select a small folder. Keep the scope narrow enough that you can check the result quickly.

Screenshot

Step 02

Ask for the specific outcome

Use plain language: summarize this receipt, rewrite this reply, extract action items, make a checklist, or propose file names before anything is changed.

Screenshot

Step 03

Review, then use or save

Read the draft, compare important details against the source, and decide what to keep. If the task repeats, document the steps and save them as a local skill.

Personal workspace

Keep the source, the request, and the result in one view

The personal workspace keeps a message, screenshot, receipt, document, or small folder beside the task you requested and the result Think-Act prepared. Review the source and output together before you copy, save, share, or approve anything.

THINK-ACT · PERSONAL WORKSPACE
A focused workspace makes it easier to compare the original material with the generated result and catch important names, dates, totals, or instructions before using it.

Writing assistance

Say what you mean, more clearly

Use Think-Act to make everyday communication clearer. Fix grammar, adjust tone, translate a paragraph, or draft a reply from a short prompt.

  • Rewrite a message to sound clearer or more polite.
  • Fix grammar, spelling, and awkward phrasing.
  • Draft a reply from a few bullet points.
  • Condense a long message into a shorter version.
  • Use prompt-only mode to exclude clipboard content; the typed request still goes to your configured model endpoint.
OCR & document intelligence

Make documents easier to work with

Use OCR to turn screenshots, scans, forms, and receipts into text you can copy, summarize, or turn into notes. Remove details the task does not need and check the extracted text against the original before relying on it.

  • Copy text from screenshots and photos.
  • Read scanned letters, PDFs, and forms.
  • Summarize receipts and bills into plain language.
  • Extract important dates and action items.
  • Turn document content into organized notes.

Think-Act · Accessibility

Accessibility

Useful assistance should be easy to reach

Think-Act can make everyday computer work easier to read and reuse. Extract text from images, summarize dense content, use text-to-speech where supported, and keep high-contrast themes readable.

  • Produce selectable text that can work with your existing assistive tools.
  • Simplify complex documents into plain language.
  • Listen to OCR and generated text where text-to-speech is supported.
  • Reach common actions with configured keyboard shortcuts.
  • High-contrast themes available for better visibility.

Think-Act is a productivity tool with accessibility-focused workflows. It can complement assistive technology, but it is not a replacement for specialized accessibility software.

You stay in control

Helpful drafts are not the same as permission to act

Many personal tasks need no account access at all. When a task touches your files, apps, money, messages, or accounts, give Think-Act only the access it needs and keep the final decision visible.

Access and confirmation boundaries for common personal Think-Act tasks
Task Context Access Boundary Your Checkpoint
Rewrite pasted text
No desktop access Review the wording
OCR or summarize a document
Only the provided file Check names, dates, totals, and instructions
Organize a folder
One scoped folder Preview every rename or move
Send a message
Relevant app or connector Confirm the recipient and final text
Purchase, submit, delete, or change
External access Always require your confirmation

Saved skills are reusable instructions, not permanent guarantees. Recheck them when an app, website, layout, or desired outcome changes. Learn more about controlled automation and optional integrations.

Security for personal work

Your personal files need careful handling

Receipts, screenshots, school files, family documents, and personal notes can reveal more than you expect. Where content is processed depends on the model endpoint and connectors you configure, so remove anything the task does not need before you send it.

Personal Safety Checklist

  • Keep private files scoped Start with the file, screenshot, or folder needed for the task. Remove passwords, identity numbers, and banking credentials before sending sensitive content anywhere.
  • Know where processing happens A local or private endpoint can reduce external sharing, but it is one control rather than a complete privacy guarantee. Check the endpoint’s own storage and data-use terms.
  • Trust connectors deliberately If you add connectors, use only tools from sources you trust and give them the minimum permissions needed for the personal workflow.
  • Treat high-stakes documents differently Use summaries to understand or organize information, not as medical, legal, financial, tax, or official advice. Verify the original and ask the right professional or authority when the outcome matters.
  • Confirm before changes Moving files, renaming folders, sending messages, or clicking in another app should ask before acting. Keep those confirmations on.
  • Review before sharing Check names, dates, totals, and tone against the source before forwarding a summary, checklist, rewritten message, or extracted text.

Try Think-Act for Yourself
Do I need technical skills to use Think-Act?

No. Start with writing, OCR, translation, or document summaries. You can use those features without setting up desktop automation or external connectors.

Can it help with personal documents?

Yes. Think-Act can extract, summarize, translate, and reorganize document text. Remove unnecessary personal details first, check where your configured model processes content, and verify dates, totals, names, and instructions. See the OCR and document workflow for more guidance.

Can it automate my computer?

Only through tools and connectors you configure and enable. Keep sending, purchasing, submitting, deleting, and account changes behind a clear confirmation. Writing and OCR can be used without automation; review the automation guidance before enabling actions.

What is prompt-only mode?

Prompt-only mode excludes clipboard content from that request. Your typed instruction still goes to the model endpoint you configured, so avoid including information that endpoint should not receive.

Where is my personal content processed?

That depends on the model endpoint and connectors you configure. A local or private endpoint can reduce external data sharing, but it is one control rather than a complete privacy guarantee. Review the security and data-routing guidance before using sensitive content.

Can I rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or official documents?

Use it to understand or organize information, not as a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial, tax, or government advice. Check important details against the original and consult the appropriate professional or authority.

Does Think-Act replace accessibility software?

No. OCR, clearer writing, keyboard-friendly workflows, and text-to-speech where supported can complement existing assistive technology, but Think-Act is not a dedicated replacement for specialized accessibility software. Read the Accessibility page for current features and limitations.

Is there a free version?

Yes. Think-Act is free to install and try. The freemium plan covers writing, OCR, and document summaries within free-tier limits. Upgrade to Pro when limits interrupt a workflow you use every day.
